Portland Trail Blazers PG Damian Lillard told reporters Thursday that he thinks he’ll miss 3-4 games due to groin strain. Lillard was injured in the final game before the All-Star Break and it caused him to miss All-Star Weekend (outside of performing live as Dame Dolla, of course). This is relatively good news for the Blazers, who need Dame to make their push for the playoffs.
Damian Lillard (right groin strain) did not practice today, said he thinks he might miss three or four games.

Fantasy basketball analysis: Trail Blazers PG Damian Lillard
With Dame out, this obviously puts C.J. McCollum in a really good spot in both DFS and season-long. He’ll be the go-to scorer on offense and will most likely need to play around 40 minutes per game while Dame is out. Lillard could be out through next week’s game vs. the Pacers on Feb. 27. So that would put Dame on track to return Feb. 29 against the Hawks. For now, McCollum and Anfernee Simons will pick up the slack in the back court.
