The Morning Line: VCU takes on Saint Louis in an A-10 matchup

Will Marcus Evans play for the Rams tonight?

Tonight is for the hardcore hoop heads only, as a shallow board has games featuring mid-major conferences heading for the bottom of conferences.

VCU against St. Louis is the biggest game on the board tonight, and has the only two teams not ranked in triple-digits nationally. The Rams have played themselves off the bubble, with three straight losses to George Mason, Richmond, and Dayton dooming their NCAA chances without an A-10 Tournament championship. St. Louis is on the fringes of an NIT bid, but it would be tough for either team to surpass Dayton in Brooklyn to get that shot at the dance.

Guard Marcus Evans is listed as questionable by the Rams right now, the only recent injury reported by any school playing tonight. He’s listed as questionable with a leg injury having missed the last two games.

Also as if they didn’t win enough by getting into Yale, the Bulldogs head to Cornell tonight as 11.5 point favorites. Yale is in first place in the Ancient Eight, with an inside track on locking up a bid in the Ivy Tournament. Only the top four teams will make the season-ending championship, to be played on Harvard’s campus.
