Joe Powell scores the first XFL kick return TD (video)

The St. Louis BattleHawks take a 12-3 lead after Joe Powell takes a reverse pitch on the kickoff return to the house. The XFL wanted to make returns more exciting and they finally get their first in Week 3.

St. Louis has gotten off to a good start in this matchup, as they marched down the field on their first drive, helped by a 49-yard Matt Jones run and now the return touchdown. Their inability to score on the extra point for either touchdown hurts, as well as an ill-advised punt at the Guardians 42-yard line on fourth-and-two.
