Best bets for February 24th NCAA basketball

Sometimes the parlay is the only way, especially when DraftKings makes it more valuable!

We tend to stay away from parlays and teasers in this space. A game is a game is a game, and we encourage people to play equal units on games, because in the long run if your fundamentals are good you’ll be rewarded.

But sometimes there’s a deal out there that’s too much value to pass up, and for those of you with DraftKings Sportsbook accounts tonight, we’ve got one for you.

Tonight at DK a money line parlay of Louisville (+120) and WVU (-225) will pay you +240 instead of +215 thanks to an odds boost.

We like both sides of it, and no we didn’t ask our friends at DK to put it together. But we would have been on both sides of it anyway, and we’ve been 19-9 ATS the last two weeks so let’s see how we do on the money line instead. Here’s why:

Louisville +120 Money Line vs. Florida State

The Cards dropped two in a row on the road, but then showed no panic in firebombing both Syracuse and North Carolina at home to get back on track. Jordan Nwora is one of the best players in the country, and UL has something to prove

FSU has been undefeated at home, and they’re a really good team. But UL just shoots it a smidge too well, and they’ll find some rhythm and room this evening. Especially with the added value, we’ll take ‘em straight up.

WVU -255 Money Line vs. Texas

Texas still plays basketball? We kid, and they’ve actually been better as of late winning two in a row over TCU at home and at Kansas State. But the Mountaineers aren’t TCU or Kansas State.

Texas is dead flipping last in America in free throws to field goals, and the way WVU defends won’t allow them to improve on that tonight. WVU has also lost four of their last five, and come in need a couple wins to stay on the protected top-four lines of the NCAA Tournament. We think they bounce back tonight, and end the Shaka Smart Era in Austin once and for all. Mountaineers find a way to get the win, especially since they don’t need to cover.
