Penn State Nittany Lions sophomore guard Myreon Jones is listed as questionable with an illness, hours before their home matchup with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Wednesday night. Jones is the second leading scorer for Penn State at 14.1 points per game and the team’s top assist man, averaging three assists per game.

Jones missed his fifth consecutive game with the illness on Sunday with a 68-60 loss to the Indiana Hoosiers for Penn State’s second straight defeat. Pat Chambers called Jones day-to-day during a press conference on Monday, and nobody knows of his availability for Wednesday night’s game at this point.

Penn State is obviously a much better team with Jones on the floor. He is currently knocking down 41.3% of his 3-pointers and played well before the illness. In his last game on the floor, Jones hit six shots from deep with 20 points and five assists in the Nittany Lions’ victory over Michigan State.

Penn State stands as six-point favorites over Rutgers as the Nittany Lions try to snap its two-game losing streak. These two teams played in Piscataway in early January where Rutgers got the 72-61 victory. Jones went for 21 points and shot 5 of 10 from the three-point line in the loss.
