UPDATE: Feb. 28, 5:33 p.m. — Serge Ibaka and Fred VanVleet are listed as out Friday vs. the Hornets. Norman Powell is probable to return and Patrick McCaw is available to play.
VanVleet is new but we knew that Ibaka was questionable. We both sidelined, this opens up a bunch of solid plays on the Raptors. Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry stand out the most in tournaments. Terence Davis, OG Anunoby and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson are your value plays on DraftKings.
Toronto Raptors PF/C Serge Ibaka is questionable to play in Friday’s game vs. the Charlotte Hornets due to knee soreness. The Raptors are already down Marc Gasol in the front court, so they’d be pretty thin if Ibaka isn’t able to play.
Fantasy basketball and betting analysis: Raptors PF/C Serge Ibaka injury
If Ibaka is out, there are a few spots we can go for value. OG Anunoby will be a trendy play considering the Raptors don’t have a center. We could see Pascal Siakam shift over to the 5 but it’s more likely to be Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. I also like Chris Boucher, he generally steps up when the Raptors are down players.
We don’t know the line on this game yet, but the Hornets are down Malik Monk (suspension) and Devonte’ Graham and Terry Rozier are both cold as ice. Toronto is still in a good spot to win even without Ibaka.
