Dallas Mavericks G Jalen Brunson confirmed he has a torn labrum, per Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News.
Brunson confirms that he has a torn labrum, postseason surgery a possibility, but he says his focus is to heal well enough to finish out this season. Doesn’t have a timetable.

So Brunson isn’t going to get surgery right away, but rehabbing could take a bit. There isn’t much time left in the regular season with about six weeks to go until the playoffs. The Mavericks have depth at guard as well with Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr., Delon Wright and J.J. Barea. It’s not ideal with Brunson out since the Nova product has been a serviceable fill-in. Still, Dallas should be fine if Brunson sits the rest of the season or makes it back.
