Yes, the Kansas City Chiefs knocked off the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 to win Super Bowl 54 Sunday night in Miami. But sometimes the best action in the 305 isn’t on the gridiron, and that’s what we’ll check out here.
Let’s
1. Both teams honor Kobe Bryant pregame
It started with both teams lining up at the 24-yard line in a wonderful tribute to one of America’s great athletes that was lost just a week ago. Very well done, NFL.

2. The NFL 100 had more talent on the field than at any other point in football history
With the awkward but kind of necessary brief inclusion of O.J. Simpson, and Jerry Rice wearing his own jersey (??), it was a wonderfully produced ceremony pregame to honor the best players and coaches in NFL history.

3. Belichick trollin’
In response to some boos in the home of AFC East divisional rival Miami, the G.O.A.T. coach decided to let everyone else know how he felt. The sick part is he only held up half the rings he owns, not counting the ones he got in New York with the Giants. Who knew AARP members could flex like this?

4. Commercial and pregame intro celebrating NFL 100
Just as they did with the kickoff the NFL 100 campaign, the league did an incredible job with this spot. Bringing back players of long ago and mixing in some of the best spots of the game, with a cameo or two (shoutout Carli Lloyd!) was well put-together. And having it mix right into the kickoff before the game in live action was beyond cool.
5. Tom Brady Troll God
He teased something on Twitter a few days ago, but then follows it up with this fantastic commercial that probably paid him more than a few bucks, and told everyone that he fully intends to be a quarterback, somewhere, in 2020 via this commercial.

6. Shakira and J.Lo crushed it
I think these ladies might have a future as performers if they stick with it. Can you imagine what they could do if they took some dance lessons??
Bonus points for the dual-sided Puerto Rico-USA flag from Alex Rodriguez’s main squeeze.
7. Sleeping guy in the end zone
We can attest that Miami can take a lot out of you, especially during a big event. But tapping out in the first half? No excuses man. Also: is this Ed Helms? Of The Hangover fame? If so, way to live the part as a method actor, good sir.

8. The Google Loretta commercial
Be forewarned: have a tissue handy and wipe off any eyeliner or mascara before clicking play below.
9. Patrick Mahomes and Demi Lovato spoke their dreams into existence
Sometimes dreams really do come true. This is pretty darn cool for the MVP and the national anthem singer at Super Bowl 54.
I bet it feels amazing to be the quarterback who says "I'm going to Disney World" after winning the Super Bowl #Qbs

One day, I’m gonna perform the halftime show at the super bowl. Onnnee dayyy....

10. Bill Murray heads back to Punxsutawney
A great throwback commercial, perfectly fitting when the Super Bowl is actually on Groundhog Day.
11. Andy Reid finally gets his Super Bowl
He can certainly be a bit awkward in front of the camera, but a sure-fire Hall of Fame coach no matter what happened in the game finally got his championship tonight. Congrats to Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs on their first Super Bowl championship in 50 years!
