The Morning Line: #1 Baylor, #5 FSU head on the road tonight

The Baylor Bears and Florida State Seminoles both hit the road tonight for Big Monday conference games.

Look, we can’t lie to you: there’s a lot of not great basketball games being played Monday evening. There’s only two Top 25 teams, the #5 Florida State Seminoles (who probably won’t be #5 when the poll is released later today thanks to their loss to Virginia) and the #1 Baylor Bears. FSU plays that North Carolina junior varsity team in Chapel Hill, and Baylor heads to Kansas State.

If you want a game with some meaning, how about the second and third place teams in the MEAC battling it out? Norfolk State heads to North Carolina Central at 7 p.m. If NSU wins, they’ll be tied for top of the conference as the seeds for the MEAC Tournament start to get determined. Norfolk lost to A&T by six on the road last time out, and NCCU does everything well except shoot the three-ball: they’re actually first in field goal percentage defense and shooting percentage in the league, but shoot just 26.4% from downtown.
