The Detroit Pistons and Phoenix Suns are working on a deal centered around Luke Kennard, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The trade would send Kennard to the Suns in exchange for Jevon Carter, Elie Okobo and a first-round pick.
Possible package gaining traction for Kennard, per sources: Jevon Carter, Elie Okobo and a first-round pick. Suns imagine Kennard as a 30 minute-plus per game floor spacer to complement Devin Booker, Kelly Oubre, Jr., and Ricky Rubio. https://t.co/1iw2iqPmq2

As Woj states, the Suns view Kennard as a good scoring compliment to Devin Booker and Ricky Rubio, providing floor spacing in the starting lineup. The Suns already run a smallish lineup with Deandre Ayton at center and Kelly Oubre Jr. at PF. Kennard has been dealing with injuries for the Pistons this season, but when healthy, was a huge scoring threat from outside.
