Andrew Wiggins — Golden State Warriors
There is a ton of usage to fill in the Warriors’ offense. Until Steph Curry returns from his wrist injury, there isn’t going to be many players to create their own offense on Golden State outside of Wiggins. Alec Burks has played a decent scoring role for the Dubs over the last couple months, but he’s been shipped off to the 76ers. Of the healthy players currently on the Warriors’ roster, Wiggins and Eric Paschall are the only guys with a usage rating north of 20%.
Christian Wood — Detroit Pistons
Look out for Wood. He’s going to win yearly leagues and is going to be a DFS monster going forward now that Andre Drummond has been traded from the Pistons to the Cavaliers. For the season, he averages well over a fantasy point per minute and Detroit has been giving Wood extended minutes in recent games. Prior to the deadline, he had back-to-back games scoring over 30 DKFP. Now, Wood figures to move into the starting lineup and play over 30 minutes regularly.
Shabazz Napier — Washington Wizards
The situation for Napier has taken a few twists and turns. He had fantasy value as the starting point guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Then he was traded to the Denver Nuggets, where it appeared his fantasy value would dry up. Finally, he was moved to the Washington Wizards as the Trade Deadline was winding down. Washington dumped Isaiah Thomas, so this sets up Napier to take over as the starting point guard. In 22 starts, he’s averaging 28.35 DKFP and the Wizards always play in high-scoring games. The Wizards are fifth in the league in pace, so it appears that Napier has ultimately found himself in one of the best situations possible for his fantasy value.
