The Super Bowl is officially a wrap and before we get into the NFL’s offseason player movement, it’s time for a new football league. The new-look XFL debuts on Saturday, February 8th with eight teams playing a ten week schedule. The playoffs take place the weekend of April 18th and the championship game is on Sunday, April 26th, the day after the 2020 NFL Draft concludes.
The XFL opens their season with four nationally televised games, including three on free broadcast stations. The weekend opens with the DC hosting Seattle at 2:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, airing on ABC. Los Angeles hosts Houston that evening on FOX. On Sunday, FOX will air Tampa Bay vs. New York, and ESPN will air St. Louis vs. Dallas.
The league is leaning heavily into the gambling space, and has announced DraftKings SportsBook as a sports betting partner. DK is also a daily fantasy football partner with the league, so we’ll be providing updates through the weekend to get you ready for Week 1 XFL action.
