Oscars Night is coming, and the bettors are just as excited as the paparazzi for the 2020 Academy Awards. On Sunday, February 9th, you’ll see the best of Hollywood celebrating themselves and cinema Live from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
It would be stunning if Renee Zellweger’s turn as Judy Garland in Judy didn’t win her an Academy Award, but don’t forget that Judy Garland herself once was famously snubbed for Grace Kelly in 1955. Garland never won an Oscar as an adult, but that’s about the only thing Zellweger has working against her.
Scarlett Johansson’s Nicole in Marriage Story, particularly her difficult scenes with Laura Dern and Adam Driver, are winning much acclaim and can still get you a very good price. And there’s been some late buzz for Charlize Theron as Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly (she incredibly sounds just like her) in Bombshell. But we’re probably going to see Zellweger’s name called on Sunday night, and it will be well-deserved.
Below are the updated odds, as well as how much action is bet on each film, from DraftKings Sportsbook.
