UPDATE: AD will play vs. the Sixers. Bad news for Philly.
UPDATE: March 3, 1:32 p.m. — Davis has been upgraded to probable for Tuesday night’s game vs. the Sixers, per the 1:30 p.m. NBA injury report. So it appears AD will be back in the lineup tonight after missing one game. This is bad news for the Sixers, who are currently 12.5 point underdogs against the Lakers. Davis’ return will likely send Kyle Kuzma back to the bench and makes LeBron James a slightly less appealing play on DraftKings.
UPDATE: March 2, 9:58 p.m. — Anthony Davis and Alex Caruso are both questionable to play in Tuesday’s game vs. the Philadelphia 76ers.
UPDATE: March 1, 7:12 p.m. — Kuzma will start in place of AD. Again, at $4,900 Kuz is a strong value on DK. He’ll be chalky though, but we’re post-lock on the main four-gamer, so ownership shouldn’t spike as much as the night slate.
UPDATE: March 1, 6:58 p.m. — Davis has been ruled out vs. his former team. Call off any revenge type narratives there. Expect more revenge on the Pelicans side. Caruso is now out after being ruled in earlier. Green is still available.
With AD out, I like Kuzma as a value and Howard as more of a pivot. LeBron becomes a top GPP play with no Davis. It’s also some more shots for guys like Avery Bradley and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who are both under $4K.
The line on DKSB is Pelicans +1.5, which seem favorable given AD is out. Home team getting points in a revenge spot after loving to the Lakers a few games ago. The lines just shifted though and the Pelicans are slightly favored. I still think there’s value in the Pelicans on a short spread until that number gets past a bucket or two.
Anthony Davis is out tonight at New Orleans with a sore right knee, per the Lakers. Alex Caruso out with a sore right hamstring. Danny Green (sore right hip) available.

UPDATE: March 1, 6:40 p.m. — AD is a game-time decision vs. the Pelicans with that sore knee. Alex Caruso and Green are available to play.
Anthony Davis is a game time decision for the Lakers tonight as they take on the @PelicansNBA because of right knee soreness. #WBD

Los Angeles Lakers PF/C Anthony Davis is being listed as questionable to play in Sunday’s game vs. the New Orleans Pelicans. AD has knee soreness and it could hold him out against his former team. The Lakers are clearly looking to get LeBron James and Davis rest. LeBron sat out against the Warriors earlier last week due to a groin injury. Danny Green is probable and Alex Caruso is also questionable to play.
If Davis is ruled out, the Lakers will likely start Kyle Kuzma at PF. He’d be an appealing DFS play on DraftKings at $4,900. Dwight Howard ($4,600) isn’t a bad value option either. Both bigs should see more playing time and usage if AD is out. LeBron ($10,900) probably becomes the chalk play of the slate. His ownership would be really high, but for good reason. He may need to play between 30-40 minutes and dropped 40 points on the Pels a few games ago with AD healthy.
