Kristaps Porzingis listed as out Wednesday vs. Nuggets

Mavericks star will take a seat to rest his knee while Seth Curry is also expected to be out.

Dallas Mavericks PF/C Kristaps Porzingis is listed as out for Wednesday night’s game vs. the Denver Nuggets to rest his knee injury. SG Seth Curry (ankle) is also listed as out. C Willie Cauley-Stein and F Michael Kidd-Gilchrist are both probable to return.

This isn’t anything new for Porzingis. He’s been resting on back-to-backs frequently since returning to the lineup from a knee injury. With the Mavericks having played last night against the San Antonio Spurs, Porzingis will take a seat. Curry is also out for a third straight game. WCS and MKG returning to the lineup isn’t very impactful.

I mentioned Maxi Kleber as a strong value play at $4,600 before this news and now Kleber will be chalky on the six-game slate. Luka Doncic ($11,000) has been banged up and this isn’t an ideal matchup. Still, he’s in GPP play given the amount of usage and offense the Mavs need to make up without Porzingis.

The line on this game only favors the Nuggets by 2.5 on the road, which seems like a good spot considering the Mavericks are pretty shorthanded and on the second end of a back-to-back.
