Quite a few teams are looking to find a franchise quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft, and there are some quality candidates to choose from. While LSU’s Joe Burrow (-10000) is the clear favorite, other signal callers have a chance to give him a run for his money. We broke down the top players teams could be targeting to play under center here. Odds are courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

The first pick in the draft will almost certainly be a quarterback, and the Cincinnati Bengals need one bad after the poor year Andy Dalton had in 2019. He was benched during the season, but neither of his backups seemed suited for starting roles. Burrow led the nation in passing touchdowns (60) and passing yards (5,671) last season en route to a national championship. It’s hard to see the Bengals passing on a promising player like Burrow when they have a serious need for a quarterback.

Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa (+800) entered 2019 as the consensus top pick in the draft, but the hip injury that ended his season has caused teams to shy away from him. He has great decision making, is accurate, and throws a beautiful long ball. His durability is the main concern, but maybe he’s worth taking a risk on as a sleeper.

Jordan Love (+3300) has been the draft’s most popular dark horse in recent weeks. His junior season was underwhelming because of the gaudy numbers he posted in his sophomore campaign at Utah State, but he went through a ton of adversity after losing his head coach to Texas Tecj. The 17 picks he threw last season in a new system are cause for concern, but he’s shown that he can be efficient with the right personnel around him. The comparison’s to Patrick Mahomes might be a stretch, but he does have a ton of upside. Consistency is the key for Love.
