The Portland Trail Blazers could be getting a big boost back in the lineup for Wednesday vs. the Washington Wizards. PG Damian Lillard is targeting a return against the Wiz, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Monday afternoon. Lillard has been out since the All-Star Break due to a groin injury he sustained on Feb. 12 against the Grizzlies.

Fantasy basketball analysis: Damian Lillard injury

The Blazers need Dame back in the lineup in the worst way. They’ve only won once since Lillard sustained the injury and have dropped six of seven games. If Lillard is back, CJ McCollum would obviously see less usage and shots. He had been the focus for the Blazers on offense with Dame out. Carmelo Anthony also takes a bit of a hit in fantasy basketball. We also need to consider that Dame could be on a minutes limit in his return. If that’s the case, McCollum would be a decent GPP play on Wednesday’s slate.
