The UFC is still planning on hosting UFC 249, and a new location for the event is 99.9 percent confirmed, according to president Dana White. The main event of UFC 249 is a lightweight title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson.
The event is scheduled for April 18th and was originally going to take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Changes in New York due to the coronavirus outbreak have required a relocation of the event, and it sounds like we should hear soon where it will happen.
The promotion had wanted to move some of its events to its APEX Arena in Las Vegas, but the Nevada State Athletic Commission has cancelled all events until March 25th, and has postponed a meeting to offer guidance on when events might pick back up.
Nurmagomedov is a -275 favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, in a fight favored to go the distance (+120) and potentially result in a Nurmagomedov decision victory (+200). This fight has been booked four times, but cancelled to a variety of issues over the years.
