UPDATE 6:20 p.m. Diallo is in the starting lineup for PC.

Senior guard Alpha Diallo is questionable with a scratched eye for the Providence Friars’ game against the Xavier Musketeers on Wednesday night. The injury occurred during Providence’s 58-54 victory over the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday.

Diallo did not practice on Monday, and head coach Ed Cooley referred to him as day to day.

Diallo is having a fantastic final season with the Friars, averaging 13.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.7 steals and a block per game. He leads the team in points, rebounds, steals and blocks. He appeared in all 29 games this season.

The Friars have been on a role as of late with four consecutive victories, and Providence is listed as four-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook tonight at home against Xavier with an over/under set at 132. In their previous meeting on Feb. 8, Xavier won the game 64-58, and Diallo played all 40 minutes and scored 14 points with six rebounds and three assists.
