The Chicago Bulls have mixed bad news with good news this week. While Wendell Carter Jr., Otto Porter Jr. and Lauri Markkanen are all back in the front court, Zach LaVine remains out. Markkanen has been sidelined for a while with a pelvic injury. He’s going to return to the starting lineup Wednesday night vs. the Timberwolves to form a healthy front court for the first time since early November.
As far as restrictions, Markkanen is only expected to play around 18-20 minutes vs. Minnesota. Porter got back in the lineup in Monday’s win over the Mavericks. He’s going to have his limit bumped up a bit to 20-22 minutes, which is encouraging for fantasy owners given how well he looked against Dallas. Carter will also see more minutes.
I don’t mind Porter ($5,400) in DFS on DraftKings. His price is low and his production was high despite limited minutes. He’ll also be pretty low-owned and this is a great matchup. Markkanen and Carter are difficult to recommend until they are up in the 25-30 minute range.
I really like the Bulls on the spread, which has moved from +3 to +2.5 for Chicago. The Bulls are riding high off an impressive win over the Mavericks on Monday. The T-Wolves are on the second night of a back-to-back after allowing 134 points to the Pelicans despite a win on Tuesday night.
