Minnesota Timberwolves C Karl-Anthony Towns will miss another two weeks after having his wrist evaluated on Friday. Towns has been out since Feb. 12 due to a fractured wrist. The T-Wolves have gone 3-6 since Towns went down and are 19-42 overall entering Friday’s game vs. the Orlando Magic in Minnesota. On the outside of the playoff picture looking in, the Timberwolves don’t have much incentive to rush Towns back into the lineup.
Juancho Hernangomez and Naz Reid have stepped up in the front court with Towns sidelined. Whenever KAT can get back, both will see a downtick in minutes and usage along with veteran PF James Johnson. D’Angelo Russell should be fine. He’ll still dominate the ball, though Malik Beasley has played well since being acquired from the Denver Nuggets.
