UPDATE, 7:04 p.m.: Cumberland was spotted warming up before Saturday evening’s game. His status is still unclear, but this is a positive step.
Senior guard Jarron Cumberland is listed as questionable with a foot injury leading into the final regular season game of his college basketball career with the Cincinnati Bearcats against the Temple Owls. Cumberland sat out of Tuesday night’s 79-67 victory over the South Florida Bulls.
Cumberland is Cincinnati’s leading scorer at 15.3 points per game and leads the team with 4.8 assists per contest. These two teams last played on Jan. 22 in an 89-82 victory for the Bearcats. Cumbeland scored 22 points and dished out six assists in 34 minutes for Cincinnati.
Cincinnati is coming into tonight’s game as 10.5-point home favorites with the over/under set at 137.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook. The Bearcats are squarely on the bubble and could use as many wins as possible at this point. Both teams are struggling to cover this season, and Cincinnati is 1-6 against the spread in its last seven games.
