UPDATE 9:26 p.m.: Paul Reed is listed as a starter for DePaul.

DePaul Blue Demons junior forward Paul Reed is questionable for Saturday’s matchup against the Providence Friars. Reed missed the last two games with a hip injury and hopes to return for the regular season finale.

DePaul went 1-1 in the two games without him including a blowout road loss to the Butler Bulldogs, followed by a one-point home victory over the Marquette Golden Eagles. DePaul and Providence played on Jan. 4, a 66-65 road victory for the Friars. Despite the loss, Reed played a fantastic game with a game-high 24 points on 10 of 15 shooting and grabbed 15 rebounds.

Reed is averaging a double-double with 14.9 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. He is a big factor on the defensive end with team highs in blocks (2.6) and steals (1.9).

DePaul is going into Saturday’s game as a 10-point underdog on the road with the over/under set at 136.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook. The Blue Demons are 2-6 against the spread in their last eight, and Providence covered in each of its last five games.
