Kansas Jayhawks sophomore forward Silvio De Sousa is eligible to return from his 12-game suspension for Saturday’s final regular season game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. He last played on Jan. 21 and was punished for his role in a massive brawl late in a victory over the Kansas State Wildcats.
De Sousa averaged 8.2 minutes per game before the suspension, and it will be interesting to see how much he plays in his first game back. According to an article on KUsports.com, Bill Self said De Sousa will suit up but is unsure how much he will play or if he will play.
The Jayhawks won 12 games in a row without De Sousa and are currently riding a 15-game winning streak. Kansas and Texas Tech faced each other Feb. 1 in a three-point victory for the Jayhawks at home.
Kansas is listed at DraftKings Sportsbook as three-point road favorites against Texas Tech. A win for the Jayhawks would clinch an outright Big 12 title. Kansas is is 6-2 against the spread in its last eight, and Texas Tech is coming in 2-4 against the number in its last six contests.
