LA running back Martez Carter expects to play in Week 5

If you’re looking for a low priced running back option in Week 5 XFL DFS, running back Martez Carter offers value. He is expected to play in spite of an ankle injury.

The Los Angeles Wildcats host the Tampa Bay Vipers on Sunday to close out Week 5, and it appears they will have wide receiver Martez Carter available. He was listed as limited all week with an ankle injury and was designated as questionable on the final injury report.

Carter missed Week 4 with an ankle injury. This came a week after a breakout performance in Week 3. Carter rushed 11 times for 34 yards and caught three passes for 41 yards, but more importantly, scored three touchdowns in the game. A week after not getting a single touch in Week 2, Carter put up 31 DraftKings fantasy points.

Carter’s captain salary for Week 4 Showdown is $6,000, while his flex price is $4,000. We only have one real game of sample size, so any use of him in Showdown would be a gamble. But considering how much work he got in Week 3, it’s a decent gamble to consider.
