UPDATE: March 8, 5:59 p.m. — Fultz will start vs. the Rockets.

The Orlando Magic will face one of the best backcourts in the NBA Sunday and might not have their starting point guard for the matchup. Markelle Fultz is listed as questionable for his team’s matchup against the Houston Rockets because of right calf tightness. He won the starting job from D.J. Augustin early in the year and has averaged 11.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game through 62 games. He’s made 57 starts this season.

Fantasy basketball analysis

It’s a toss up between Augustin and Michael Carter-Williams for who could start in Fultz’s place against Houston. They’ve carried similar workloads since the All-Star break. Augustin has the edge though, as he has six starts under his belt this year while Carter-Williams has none. Neither player has been a major part of Orlando’s offense this season, so expect them to have comparable ceilings. The hot hand will probably get the most time in this situation.
