Alabama quarterback and potential top five draft pick Tua Tagovailoa had the fourth-month scan on his dislocated hip on Monday, per Ian Rapoport. The scan came back, “very good with no concerns,” and he’ll now begin activities get his body ready for play, per Rapoport.
Tagovailoa attended the NFL Combine a little over a week ago, and went through the non-drill parts of the process. He’ll eventually have a Pro Day and if he keeps up at his current pace, he might be able to do some throwing, among other things.
LSU quarterback Joe Burrow is expected to be the first quarterback off the board at No. 1 to the Cincinnati Bengals. After that, Tagovailoa is viewed as the likely second QB off the board, but there’s a lot to be sorted out over the month six weeks. Oregon’s Justin Herbert and Utah State’s Jordan Love are both in the mix to go in the top ten.
Plenty of teams could be willing to move up to get their QB of the future, but those four are the primary ones in play for now.
