Best lineup strategy for Bengals vs. Bills Madden simulation Showdown

Josh Allen and A.J. Green are who we like to take over Saturday’s Bengals-Bills Madden simulation. We break down the best Showdown strategies for the contest DraftKings has available for the game this weekend.

The Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills will battle it out in Saturday’s second Madden simulation. You can set your lineup and enter an NFL DFS contest on DraftKings. We break down the ideal team strategy below. Fill out your lineup here.

Captain’s Picks

Josh Allen, QB, Bills ($16,200)

Allen has the highest ceiling in this contest because of his big arm and active legs. Leaving it as a toss up between Cole Beasley and John Brown is too risky, so Buffalo’s best captain candidate is its signal caller. His accuracy isn’t great, but Cincinnati’s secondary is below average. I’m looking for Allen to take advantage of his entire toolbox.

A.J. Green, WR, Bengals ($16,800)

If you’re going to captain any Bengal, I think Green is the guy. The Bills are solid in a lot of places on defense, and that could make things tough on Andy Dalton. But Green is Cincinnati’s highest rated offensive player and has a good chance to win his individual matchup. He has a knack for hauling in difficult passes, and that distinguishes him from the rest of his team’s receivers.

Flex Men

Frank Gore, RB, Bills ($2,200)

Backup running backs have churned out DKFP pretty consistently, and Gore is one of the best bargains you can get. While he’s not much of a factor as a receiver, he’s a cheap option who will get some touches.

John Ross III, WR, Bengals ($4,800)

Ross might not be the most consistent target, but his top-notch speed (97) gives him big play potential. We’ve seen supporting receivers take over in a few sims, so Ross’ ability to stretch the field as a deep threat can’t be ignored. Green and Tyler Boyd ($7,000) will be covered by Buffalo’s better cornerbacks, so Ross will attract a more desirable player who won’t be able to keep up with him.
