The NBA and ESPN are teaming up to give us a H-O-R-S-E competition between players, WNBA stars (current and former) and former players. The first round of the contest will be held on Sunday from 7-9 PM ET on ESPN. The semifinals and championship rounds will take place on April 16 at 9 PM ET on ESPN and streaming on the ESPN app. Let’s take a quick look at the field and matchups.
- Trae Young vs. Chauncey Billups
- Tamika Catchings vs. Mike Conley
- Zach LaVine vs. Paul Pierce
- Chris Paul vs. Allie Quigley
The field consists of two current NBA All-Stars, two borderline All-Stars, two WNBA legends and two future basketball hall of famers from the NBA. Young and LaVine recently participated in the NBA 2K20 Players Tournament, which Devin Booker won Saturday night. This is the second of the NBA and ESPNs events during the coronavirus outbreak.
Here’s a look at the hypothetical odds for the tournament, provided by DraftKings Sportsbook Director Johnny Avello. The odds are not available to bet on at DK Sportsbook.
