The New York Giants and Washington will face off in a simulated Madden 20 game Tuesday, and DraftKings will have DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal showdown lineup strategy for the contest, which you can play at DraftKings.
Dwayne Haskins, QB, Washington ($15,600)
The Giants best rated cornerback is DeAndre Baker with a 71 overall Madden rating. Their two starting safeties are better but neither hit an 80 rating. Haskins and Daniel Jones have the same low rating of 70 but we’ve seen Haskins go off already in these sims and his connection to Terry McLaurin was key, which looks great in this matchup.
Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants ($14,400)
2019 reality was up and down for Barkley due to a high ankle sprain that bothered him most of the season. 2019 in Madden offers considerable upside. He’s the sixth highest overall rated running back with 92 speed, 93 acceleration, and a 92 tackle breaking rating that is fourth best in the league. He’s active enough in the passing game that he offers plenty of value in DraftKings’ PPR format.
Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington ($8,800)
McLaurin had a breakout rookie season in spite of inconsistency at the quarterback position. He comes into the game with an 86 catch rating after opening the season with an 82, and an 81 overall rating after opening the season at 70. He had one catch for 15 yards in Washington’s last Madden sim, but five for 62 and a touchdown in the team’s first game of the sim season.
Jordan Reed, TE, Washington ($7,600)
Reed is always hurt but thankfully in Madden, he’s nice and healthy and has the highest overall rating for Washington’s pass-catchers. When healthy, Reed has been one of the bigger tight end playmakers in the league. The problem is he is never healthy, so we’ll see if that carries over into the game.
