Wednesday’s third and final Madden 20 simulation will be between the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints. DraftKings will have an NFL DFS contest for the game. We break down the best Showdown lineup strategy for the matchup, and you can play at DraftKings.
Captain’s Picks
Michael Thomas, WR, Saints ($16,200)
Thomas is pricey and hasn’t been super productive, but it’s hard to pick against him with this matchup. The Eagles have a quality safety in Malcolm Jenkins, but their top rated quarterback has an overall of 80. That won’t cut it against the only highest rated wideout in the game. Thomas’ catching (99) is unrivaled and his catching in traffic (98) is just as impressive. The Eagles have their work cut out for them.
Zach Ertz, TE, Eagles ($12,300)
If you’re going to make a value play at captain, Ertz is one of the best options available. He has the best catching (90) on Philadelphia and has been more consistent than Alshon Jeffery ($13,500). Ertz isn’t very expensive and has a high floor, but also has a ceiling comparable to any of the Eagles’ skill players.
Flex Men
Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles ($7,800)
Sanders contributes on the ground and through the air. He’s also one of the few running backs who hasn’t been challenged at all by his backup. Jordan Howard ($3,000) has a negative average for DKFP per contest, so it’s safe to say Sanders will continue to have little competition in the backfield.
Nelson Agholor, WR, Eagles ($4,400)
Don’t let Agholor’s real life reputation for dropping passes deter you. His catching (87) is even with Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson $6,800 in Madden. He’s just as productive as either starter and significantly cheaper as well.
