WWE furloughs and/or releases a large portion of talent roster and producers

The budget cuts heralded in an earnings call came to pass, and now the roster will look significantly different. And not just with current Superstars

After an earnings call with investors and this press release earlier today, we knew some cuts and furloughs would be coming to the WWE. What we didn’t realize is how extensive the bloodletting would be.

With the producers, some might just be furloughed instead of released, but we’ll find out eventually. But these are hugely important people like Fit Finlay, who is given much credit for the Women’s Revolution.

Some of these shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Gallows and Anderson have been thought to be on their way out the door, likely to AEW, for quite awhile now. Kurt Angle has been with and left the company before, and it’s likely he’ll be back in the fold at some point because that’s how it goes with WWE Hall of Famers.

But you haven’t seen Eric Young or Curt Hawkins on TV for a long time.

And this video from Drake Maverick immediately after being told he was let go is just heartbreaking.

Of all the above, the most shocking might be Chioda. He’s been a WWE ref for at least a quarter-century.

We’ll keep updating the names as they come in here.
