Real Housewives of New York is back for season 12. We take a look at predictions for a DraftKings pool surrounding episode 3.

Social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic means there is plenty of time for television. And this week, we’re back with another episode of a quality guilty pleasure, The Real Housewives of New York City. The Bravo staple returned last week with its 12th season and airs episode three of the new season on Thursday, April 16th. The episode airs at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Although sports is mostly on hiatus around the world, DraftKings Sportsbook is offering free-to-play pools on a variety of topics. They have been on sports and non-sports topics, and RHONY is getting a shot this week! The contest involves 12 predictions and if you get the most right, you have a chance to win $1,000.

I’ve been a RHONY fan for a few years now, and am back to offer some insight into the questions DK Sportsbook poses. Last week, I successfully answered 10 of the 12 questions. I did not expect the Jovani song to get a full airing, and I underestimated how much crying there would be in the episode.

This is based on just episode 2 of season 12, and flashbacks during the episode do not count for these hitting.

Will there be a scene in the Hamptons?

  • Yes
  • No

They spent episode 2 in the Hamptons, so I’m guessing we get a little more Hamptons time before they had back to the city. The only way this loses is if they are already back to start and it’s just flashbacks, but I don’t see that happening.

Will Bethenny Frankel be mentioned?

  • Yes
  • No

For the time being this feels like the free square in BINGO.

How many housewives’ dogs will appear in the episode?

  • Over 2.5
  • Under 2.5

It went over last week, but I think if we see them remain the Hamptons to start the episode, we will not see as much of the dogs. I’ll stick with the under with Tinsley’s dogs probably not appearing this time.

Will any housewives’ children appear in the episode?

  • Yes
  • No

I didn’t count on Leah calling her daughter and Facetiming with her, so I got this one wrong last week. I’ll say no this week, but another week of Leah’s daughter and I could see this becoming a regular thing.

How many times will Leah’s tattoo be mentioned?

  • Over 1.5
  • Under 1.5

It was a significant storyline in episode 2. I think we easily get one mention, but beyond that, I’m not so sure. I’ll go with over 1.5 because if one of the housewives mentions it, one of the others will as well in the same conversation.

How many times will Tinsley say Scott’s name?

  • Over 2.5
  • Under 2.5

We saw the over hit the first two episodes on this one thanks to her fight with Dorinda. That seemed to be calming down at least a little bit, so this week I’m taking the under. The season preview suggests she is threatening to move to Chicago, where Scott lives. I think that storyline won’t pick up until a return to the city.

How many housewives will we see exercising this episode?

  • Over 2.5
  • Under 2.5

I was going to stick with the under once again, but the episode preview shows them bowling. Is bowling considered exercise? I’m going to say yes and go with the over.

Will there be a scene in Central Park?

  • Yes
  • No

The Park remains hit or miss, and if they spend a chunk of episode 3 in the Hamptons, it cuts into that even further. I’m taking No.

Will any housewife try or threaten to throw a drink?

  • Yes
  • No

The dinner last week felt like the best chance for that to happen, but there could be another dinner party. It always seems to happen over dinner. That being said, I’ll stick with No. My guess is it happens when they have their big trip of the season.

Number of crying housewives

  • Over 1.5
  • Under 1.5

I took the under and got it right this time. Dorinda cried in frustration about dealing with flooding at her Berkshires house, but that was it. This week, it sounds like LuAnn gets pissy about something, but I don’t think it will result in crying. I’ll stick with the under once again.

Will Luann sing?

  • Yes
  • No

Repeat from last week: It’s still too early for Luann on stage. It will happen at some point, but we’ll get a build-up to the moment.
