The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers will have an NFC title game rematch in a Madden simulation at 8:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers ($16,500)
Don’t bet against Rodgers. It’s as simple as that. While the Packers were beaten handily in the real life matchup, this is different. Rodgers is averaging the most DKFP per contest (16.2). His accuracy should help him get the ball to Davante Adams — even if he’s matched up against Richard Sherman. Rodgers is also a decent scrambler. He’s rushed for 18 yards in all three of his simulations so far.
Tevin Coleman, RB, 49ers ($11,700)
Coleman is averaging 14.5 DKFP per game and San Francisco has one of the league’s best rushing attacks. Neither of the 49ers’ other running backs have been factors in recent simulations, so Coleman should get the bulk of the touches out of the backfield. He’s contributes to the ground game and can make plays through the air.
Mason Crosby, K, Packers ($4.200)
Crosby has been one of the most dominant kickers in Madden. He’s averaging a staggering 9.3 DKFP per game and has made two field goals from over 40 yards out. San Francisco has a strong defense, so he could be forced to test he leg out from range. He’s been consistent so far.
Deebo Samuel, WR, 49ers ($5,600)
Samuel is second to Emmanuel Sanders on the depth chart, but has similar upside. The two starters had similar levels of production before Sanders broke out in his last simulation. This game could be Samuel’s chance to do so. He’s a lot cheaper than San Francisco WR1.
