The 2020 WNBA season is facing a delayed start, but the 2020 WNBA Draft is taking place on schedule Friday evening, April 17th. The draft gets started at 7 p.m. ET and is airing on ESPN in the United States and TSN and Sportsnet ONE in Canada. You can live stream the draft on Watch ESPN.
The draft features zero drama at the top, but then could get especially interesting the further down we move. Oregon star guard Sabrina Ionescu is a lock to go No. 1 overall. After that, two of her Oregon teammates and a host of players from Baylor, Texas A&M, UConn, South Carolina, and others will be filling out the three round draft.
The New York Liberty hold the No. 1 overall pick and are going to select Ionescu. However, New York has two other first round picks following a three-team deal with the Washington Mystics and Dallas Wings. Add in two of the first three picks to start the second round and the Liberty hold five of the top 15. This is their draft board to control.
