The New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons will square off in DraftKings’ Monday Madden simulation slate at 5 p.m. ET. DK will have a Showdown DFS contest for the matchup, and we break down the ideal lineup strategy. You can set your lineup here.
Captain’s Picks
Le’Veon Bell, RB, Jets ($13,800)
Bell is New York’s best offensive weapon with an 88 overall rating. His 95 agility, 89 speed, 92 acceleration, and ability to contribute to the offense on the ground and through the air make him the best choice. He started slow in the Madden sims, but has improved his performance the last two weeks. He faces an up-and-down Falcons defense, which opens up a chance for some upside to his performance.
Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons ($16,800)
Ryan has an 87 overall Madden rating and ranks seventh in the league in rating for quarterbacks. He also has the third highest rated wide receiver in Julio Jones. He’s the highest scoring player in this matchup, and while he’s coming off a bad performance, the Jets defense is a juicy matchup.
Flex Men
Ryan Griffin, TE, Jets ($5,600)
Griffin is a pretty meh tight end for the most part, but even with a 75 overall rating, he has emerged as a consistent presence in these sims. He’s the second highest scoring player in this matchup behind only Matt Ryan, and has scored in double digits each of the Jets three games. He’s a value for the price.
Calvin Ridley, WR, Falcons ($7,200)
Julio Jones is the best receiver in the contest, but Ridley has performed well enough to make him a stronger value for his price. He has comparable speed, acceleration, and agility. If you want to play both in this Showdown, I wouldn’t blame you, but if you’re only picking one, the value is with Ridley.
