Bud Light creating opportunity to boo Commissioner Roger Goodell during NFL Draft

If you enjoy booing Roger Goodell, Bud Light is going to raise some money with fans’ efforts.

One tradition that has taken over the three most prominently televised sports drafts is booing the commissioner of each league. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and former NBA commissioner David Stern have long drawn the ire of fans come draft day. More recently, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has joined this group — with fans booing him mightily during the first round.

The 2020 NFL Draft will be entirely virtual, with every executive along with Goodell in their own homes for the event. Goodell will announce the picks from his basement, which means there will not be any fans around to boo him. Ideally, he would bring in his wife and daughters to boo him. But if that won’t happen, Bud Light has something else in midn.

Bud Light is an official sponsor of the NFL, and they have come up with an opportunity to let fans have some fun while raising money for charity and boosting their own profile — all at the same time!

Fans can record themselves boosting and if they tag Bud Light and #BooTheCommish, the beer company will donate $1 for each to NFL Draft-a-Thon. The NFL is using the draft to raise money for Covid-19 efforts, and there is a good chance some of these videos will make their way to the broadcast.

If you’re looking to unload some booing on the commish, the opportunity now presents itself!
