Best lineup strategy for Texans vs. Eagles Madden simulation Showdown

Deshaun Watson has a chance to abuse Philadelphia’s porous secondary with chunk plays through the airs mixed with a little scrambling.

The Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles will take on one another in a Madden sim Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest centered around the matchup here. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks

Deshaun Watson, QB, Texans ($16,200)

Watson is accurate and has an elite wideout in DeAndre Hopkins at his disposal. He also has Will Fuller’s top-end speed and Lamar Miller to work with in the passing game. Then there’s his legs. Philadelphia’s below average pass defense should have a hard time covering Watson’s targets and stopping him from taking off.

Zach Ertz, TE, Eagles ($13,200)

Ertz leads the Eagles in DKFP per game (16.9) and is their best pass catcher. However, he’s cheaper than Alshon Jeffery. Ertz has caught multiple touchdowns in two straight games and should benefit from facing an underwhelming secondary. He’ll be a big time red zone threat.

Flex Men

Nelson Agholor, WR, Eagles ($4,800)

Believe it or not, Agholor’s catching are on par with those of DeSean Jackson and Jeffery. He’s averaging more than four catches per sim and is averaging just under 10 DKFP per appearance.

Will Fuller, WR, Texans ($6,600)

Fuller will play second fiddle to Hopkins, but should have a very favorable matchup. The Eagles’ second best cornerback has an overall rating of 77. Fuller is an 82 and has blazing 95 speed. He’ll be a constant threat to break loose and catch a deep ball.
