UPDATE: Here is the full day 3 draft order
The second day of the 2020 NFL Draft is set to begin Friday at 7:00 p.m. ET. Day two will contain the second and third rounds of the draft. First-round picks aren’t the only players who make a difference as rookies, and some of the players taken on Friday will exceed expectations and be impactful members on their teams.
LSU’s Clyde Edwards-Helaire became the lone running back selected on day one when the Kansa City Chiefs rolled the dice on him at No. 32. There will surely be some running backs taken in rounds two and three, as there’s a lot of talent left. The Miami Dolphins have multiple second-round picks and need depth in the backfield. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected an offensive lineman with their first pick, but could also use a running back.
Six defensive backs were taken in the first round, but none of them were safeties. There’s plenty of talent available, and teams in need of better pass defenses should scramble to make upgrades. The Dolphins and Oakland Raiders are teams to watch here.
Another storyline to follow is the New England Patriots’ quarterback situation. They traded back out of the first round but have four day two picks. Will they add more depth to a quarterback room consisting of Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer? We’ll find out soon.
Here is the order of picks for day two.
