The Atlanta Falcons and Oakland Raiders will face off in a Sunday Madden sim. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest centered around the game. You can set your lineup and on DraftKings before kickoff.
Captain’s Picks
Julio Jones, WR, Falcons ($15,900)
Jones is a top three wideout with a 97 overall rating and 96 catching. The Raiders don’t generate a ton of pressure up front, and Jones won’t face a cornerback with an overall rating over 75. This pick is a no-brainer.
Derek Carr, QB, Raiders ($15,300)
Carr has consistently been toward the top in passing yards per game. He doesn’t have the quality receivers Atlanta has, but does have one of the most productive tight ends we’ve seen in Darren Waller. Carr can make plays all over the field with his accuracy and has a higher ceiling than any other Raider.
Flex Men
Austin Hooper, TE, Falcons ($7,800)
Hooper’s sticky fingers could make him a big-time asset despite the two other quality pass catchers on his team. He has better catching (97) than Jones and could find himself open often because of how bad Oakland’s linebackers are at defending the pass.
Darren Waller, TE, Raiders ($7,400)
I think stacking tight ends is ideal here. Waller is the Raiders’ most dangerous pass catcher. He’s faster than most players at his position and has been consistent. Aside from Carr, he’s the safest Oakland player to roster.
