The Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams will face off in a Sunday Madden sim. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest centered around the game. You can set your lineup and on DraftKings before kickoff.
Adam Thielen, WR, Vikings ($12,300)
Thielen has continued to outperform Stefon Diggs for way less money. I don’t trust Kirk Cousins’ arm enough against Jalen Ramsey, but I like the chances of Theilen winning his matchup. He can be productive for a reasonable price and save you money elsewhere in your lineup.
Jared Goff, QB, Rams ($14,400)
Goff has a quality weapons to throw to at wide receiver, tight end, and running back. While the Vikings have above averaged safeties, both their starting cornerbacks have overall ratings of 78. The Rams’ top three wideouts all have overall ratings of at least 85 while Tyler Higbee is an 83 with 95 catching. The odds are stacked in Goff’s favor.
Todd Gurley, RB, Rams ($8,000)
Gurley isn’t at his peak anymore, but he’s still one of the game’s better all-purpose running backs. Although his production hasn’t been spectacular, quarters length being extended from six minutes to eight has helped running back performance. I think this will help Gurley be more effective than he has been moving forward.
Rams Defense/Special Teams ($3,400)
The Ramsey is the second best cornerback in the game and Aaron Donald is the best defensive lineman. These two will be staples for Los Angeles’ defense, but it has various other pieces that make it lethal. Clay Matthews, Dante Fowler Jr., Michael Brockers, and others will make it hard on Cousins and Dalvin Cook. Nothing will come easy against this group.
