Best lineup strategy for Cowboys vs. Steelers Madden simulation Showdown

Dak Prescott has better weapons and mobility than Ben Roethlisberger, making him the ideal captain for Monday’s Cowboys-Steelers Madden sim.

The Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers play in a Madden simulation on Monday. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks

Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys ($15,300)

Prescott has Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, Randall Cobb, and Ezekiel Elliott to throw to. It doesn’t get much better than that. His receiving corps is significantly better than the Steelers’, and he also has better mobility than Ben Roethlisberger.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Steelers ($13,800)

Smith-Schuster hasn’t performed as well as some of the other WR1s, but is second to Roethlisberger in fantasy upside among Steelers players. He’s cheaper than Cooper and has less competition. That makes him the better choice at wide receiver.

Flex Men

Vance McDonald, TE, Steelers ($7,800)

McDonald isn’t a star by any means, but he has been steadily cranking out DKFP. He’s been hovering around 15 fantasy points over the course of his last few outings. He’s proved to be a priority target in the red zone and late in the game for Roethlisberger.

Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys ($9,400)

Elliott will be a popular captain’s pick, but saving money with a cheaper option and playing him as a flex might be the best option. He’ll likely still be productive on the ground and through the air. Using him as a flex will help fill out the other flex spots with higher quality players.
