Report: LaMelo Ball officially declares for 2020 NBA Draft

The Ball Brother is expected to go high in the 2020 NBA Draft. His decision isn’t all that surprising and we’ll see who gets a shot at drafting him after the lottery.

Overnight in the least surprising news, standout guard LaMelo Ball officially declared for the 2020 NBA Draft, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The Ball brother is expected to go No. 1 overall in the draft to whoever wins the lottery. It isn’t set in stone, but Ball is easily the most talented player in this year’s draft class. He played this season overseas in Australia in the NBL. Ball may come with the family circus, but his talents far outweigh any potential negative Lavar Ball could carry to any team.

Ball, the brother of New Orleans Pelicans PG Lonzo Ball, is one of the only complete players in this draft class. The overall pool lacks talent, something that Ball isn’t lacking in at all. He can run the offense, shoot, pass, make plays, pretty much everything you want out of an NBA guard in 2020. He’ll certainly bring an All-Star caliber ceiling to any franchise that drafts him.

Among the teams who could be calling Ball’s name come, well, whenever the draft is held, are the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers. Any of the four teams would make for a great fit considering Ball should transition into the NBA pretty easily.
