The Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs will face off in a simulated Madden 20 game Saturday, and DraftKings will have DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal showdown lineup strategy for the contest, which you can play at DraftKings.
Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs ($16,500)
This one isn’t hard at all. Mahomes is the highest rated quarterback in the game and has two top-notch weapons at his disposal in Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. Pahomes has ridiculous throwing power (96) and accuracy at all three levels. Hill is the fastest wideout in the game and Kelce’s overall rating (96) is second to only George Kittle’s (97) at tight end. Then there’s Damien Williams, who is an asset as a pass catcher out of the backfield. It’d be a surprise if Mahomes doesn’t post the best stats in this contest.
Todd Gurley, RB, Rams ($12,000)
Wide receivers are risky as captain’s picks because there’s no way to tell what players will get targets. That’s why we’ll stay away from Cooper Kupp ($9,200) and Robert Woods ($10,200). Gurley should get a steady stream of touches on the ground and through the air though. Even if he’s no longer among the cream of the crop at running back, his speed and acceleration ratings (both 91) make him a threat whenever he gets the ball.
Damien Williams, RB, Chiefs ($7,600)
Williams won’t get as many touches as Gurley, but he’ll also be a factor in the ground game and the passing game. Kansas City’s passing attack is too lethal for him to be the focal point of the offense. His speed and acceleration on on par with Gurley’s while his catching (72) is better.
Tyler Higbee, TE, Rams ($6,200)
Higbee’s catching rating (95) is equal with Kupp’s and is higher than every other tight end’s. He likely won’t have to deal with Tyrann Mathieu and Kendall too much. Los Angeles top wideouts will attract the attention of Kansas City’s best secondary members, and that could create room for a reliable target like Higbee.
