Most team sports have remained on lockdown for most of the past two months, but there is some light at the end of the tunnel for sports fans. We have seen UFC and the Korea Baseball Organization return to action, but on Saturday, we get one of the premier sports leagues back in action. Germany’s Bundesliga is back!
The premier German soccer league returns for Matchday 26, with nine matchdays remaining on the schedule. The league will be playing every weekend through the end of June, while also mixing in a pair of mid-week matchdays to make up the remaining schedule.
This first weekend we get six games on Saturday, two on Sunday, and one on Monday. Five of Saturday’s six games take place at 9:30 a.m. ET, followed by Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Borussia Monchengladbach in the 12:30 slot. FOX has full coverage across its many properties. All nine matches will be broadcast, with four on FS1, two on FS2, one on FOX Soccer+ and two on FOX Soccer Match Pass. All things considered, FOX’s Bundesliga deal is likely going to pay some handsome dividends this year.
There will not be a ton of live streaming options, but FOX Sports Go and fuboTV are two options to consider. If you’re looking for a fun second-screen experience for the Frankfurt-Mönchengladbach match on Saturday, check out The Cooligans as they call it on their Twitch channel.
The biggest matchup this weekend features second place Borussia Dortmund hosting sixth place FC Schalke 04. Dortmund is four points back of Bayern Munich for the top spot in the league, while Schalke is only a point up on VfL Wolfsburg and SC Freiburg for the final Europa League qualifying spot.
