The Kiwoom Heroes and LG Twins get the DraftKings Showdown spotlight as the two KBO teams will face off at 4:30 a.m. ET. The Heroes are 6-3 and have been one of the best pitching teams in the league this year while the Twins aren’t far behind at 5-3. We break down the ideal lineup strategies for a Showdown contest centered around the game, and you can set your lineup here.
Hyun Soo Kim, OF, LG Twins: $15,900
Kim has been on fire this season with 15 hits in 33 at bats, including a 1.227 OPS and a 12.9 DK points average. The lefty will take on right-hander Jake Brigham, who has given up nine hits, one home run and three walks in 7.1 innings pitched. He gave up the home run and a .375 average to lefties so far while just a .231 average to righties so far in his two starts.
Roberto Ramos, 1B, LG Twins: $9,900
Ramos has been on a tear, as he has a hit in every game this season, along with three doubles and three home runs in 31 at bats. You really can’t much hotter or consistent than Ramos has been so far and he gets to face right-hander Brigham and his poor showing against lefties so far this season.
Jung Hoo Lee, OF, Kiwoom Heroes: $9,400
Lee leads his team in hitting and has five extra base hits in his 11 hits so far this season. His two home runs have come against right handers, but he’s shown good ability verses both righties and lefties this season. He’ll face a righty this time around in Casey Kelly, who was rocked in his first start, lasting just two innings while giving up eight hits and five earned runs. He is better than that, as he looked good last season, but let’s see him prove himself before worrying about facing him.
Eun Sung Chae, OF, LG Twins: $6,000
Chae has nine hits in his last six games and should continue to be a value play despite his lack of power numbers on average. He’s hit slightly better against righties this season and has shown consistency against both righties and lefties.
