Tale of the tape for Mackenzie Dern vs. Hannah Cifers at UFC on May 30th in Vegas

A pair of women’s strawweights will face off on May 30th when Mackenzie Dern takes on Hannah Cifers at a card that will take place at the UFC Apex Arena, at least that is the hope of the promotion.

Dern started her professional MMA career 7-0, but dropped her first fight unanimous decision to Amanda Ribas last October. It was her first fight after her pregnancy, which meant she hadn’t fought since May of 2018 before her loss. Ribas dominated the fight winning with a 74-20 advantage in significant strikes and a 2-0 advantage on takedowns.

CIfers is 10-4 in her MMA career, and 2-0 in the UFC. She was stopped by Angela Hill in January via elbows in her last outing, but looks to fight on her feet; she delivers 4.82 significant strikes per minute, but has also absorbed 5.55. She has yet to win via stoppage in a UFC octagon, but had won five in a row before joining the company with four of them ending early.
