We break down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds to go undefeated in the 2020 NFL season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a major facelift this offseason, as they added Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and did well in the draft, while also re-signing much of their defensive line. Those moves have pushed their odds to win the NFC South and the Super Bowl up with the top teams in the league.

Betting on win totals, division titles, and Super Bowl appearances is a traditional side of sports betting. However, DraftKings Sportsbook is offering a fun twist for the coming season. They have posted odds on whether one of six teams will go 16-0 in the 2020 regular season. The Chiefs have the best odds to do just that with a +2500 line. The Baltimore Ravens come in second to go 16-0 with a +3000 line, while the Eagles are the biggest long shot you can bet on to go 16-0 at +12500 while the Buccaneers sit at +10000.

Below, we will take a look at the Buccaneers 2020-21 schedule to see what it will take for Tampa Bay to win every regular season game.

Easy matchups

Week 2: vs. Carolina Panthers
Week 4: vs Los Angeles Chargers
Week 7: at Las Vegas Raiders
Week 8: at New York Giants
Week 10: at Carolina Panthers
Week 16: at Detroit Lions

The Bucs get a good helping of winnable games on paper. The Raiders, Giants and Lions all have a real chance to improve this season. And we know that any of these teams could win on any given Sunday, but if the Buccaneers do improve as much as they should, these games are set up well because the bulk are road games, which pushes some of the tougher matchups to home games this season.

Winnable, but could be close

Week 3: at Denver Broncos
Week 5: at Chicago Bears
Week 11: vs. Los Angeles Rams
Week 15: at Atlanta Falcons
Week 17: vs. Atlanta Falcons

The Broncos should be better, but how much is a question while the Bears and Falcons did little to help their teams this offseason. The Rams are a bit of a wildcard, but the fact they didn’t really upgrade their offensive line is likely going to hurt them again this season. These are all winnable games for a Buccaneers team that has the pieces to be competitive each week.

Tough matchups

Week 1: at New Orleans Saints
Week 5: vs. Green Bay Packers
Week 9: vs. New Orleans Saints
Week 12: vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Week 14: vs. Minnesota Vikings

Week 1 may end up being Tampa Bay’s toughest game. Much will depend on how well Tom Brady and his receivers can get on the same page in training camp and preseason. The Saints, on the other hand, are a veteran team that will be on the same page early in the season. If the Bucs can take that opening road trip, they are set up well for a strong run.

The next four tough matchups are all at home, with the bulk coming later in the season when the team should be kicking things into another gear. Getting the Chiefs in Week 12 at home is a good spot to take on the champs.

Tampa Bay is +10000 to go undefeated in the regular season for a reason, but guess who the only quarterback to lead his team to 16-0 is? That’s right, Mr. Perfect himself. Brady doesn’t have much time left to compete at a high level and he does have a team that could come together quickly for a special season. No matter what, it will be interesting to see how he fares.
