Best lineup strategy for Saints vs. Jets Madden simulation Showdown

Drew Brees and Michael Thomas will be tough to stop in Saturday’s Madden sim between the Saints and Jets.

The New Orleans Saints and New York Jets will face off in a Sunday Madden sim at 2:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contests centered around the game. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks

Michael Thomas, WR, Saints ($15,600)

The Jets’ chances of stopping Thomas without Jalen Ramsey are slim. The Saints wideout has the best catching (99) in the game and dominated in his last simulation. He also has one of Madden’s most accurate quarterbacks in Drew Brees throwing him a football. Thomas is a must-roster here, and captaining him maximizes his potential.

Drew Brees, QB, Saints ($16,500)

Brees is the third highest rated quarterback in the game and has top-notch weapons all over. Thomas, Jared Cook, and Alvin Kamara should all benefit from his pinpoint accuracy on short and intermediate throws.

Flex Men

Robby Anderson, WR, Jets ($8,600)

The Saints have one of the better defensive lines in Madden and Anderson is the Jets’ best downfield threat. His 94 speed, 93 acceleration, and 91 catching gives him the whole package. He accounts for a large chunk of New York’s passing yardage and scores. If the Jets’ offense is stagnant, he could be a bright spot.

Jared Cook, TE, Saints ($8,000)

A New Orleans stack is probably the best strategy for this game, and Cook is the second best target of the Saints’ pass oriented offense. He’s been one of they more consistent tight ends we’ve seen in Madden sims. His short route running (82) places him among the best at his position, so he should excel in goal line situations.
