The biggest race on the NASCAR calendar is the Daytona 500, but the Coca-Cola 600 offers plenty of intrigue. It normally pairs with the Indianapolis 500 over Memorial Day weekend, but this year it will be a stand-alone race, with the Indy 500 postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Coca-Cola 600 will run at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 24th at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Qualifying will run at 2 p.m., with NASCAR cutting down on events for health and safety reasons.
DraftKings Sportsbook is offering plenty to wager on for the race, and it provides insight into what the betting public is thinking for the race. The book released the top betting splits for the race, and defending champion Martin Truex, Jr. tops the list. 10 percent of all money line bets and 15 percent of money line handle is on Truex. Kyle Busch is behind him with 9 percent of bets and 11 percent of handle.
Handle is the more valuable piece of information since a single $100 bet might tell us more than ten $10 bets. In this race, Chase Elliott and Jimmie Johnson are getting 9 percent of the handle, Alex Bowman is at 8 percent, Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, and Brad Keselowski are at 6 percent, Kevin Harvick is at 5 percent, and Ryan Blaney is at 3 percent.
A year ago, Logano, Busch, Elliott, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. finished second through fifth in the Coca-Cola 600.
